Designer Søren Rose Studio

The Tribeca series is a mix of lamps, pendants and chandeliers, all inspired by the New York City glamour of the late 1930s. The name Tribeca refers to a very popular part of New York in lower West Manhattan, the triangle below Canal Street. The various shapes and designs in the Tribeca series were created in an inspiring creative process where Søren Rose travelled the States, searching for beautiful old lamps and reusable parts to create each unique piece. Collister Table Lamp, forms the latest addition to the series, taking inspiration from the Duane pendant.

The arms and connection parts are made from solid brass or steel rod, the socket is painted ceramic. The brass is not lacquered so the metal will darken and patinate over time.

Søren Rose Studio

Søren Rose is a talented Danish entrepreneur and designer with a past as a creative director within the web and photography industry. His dream of having his own studio came true in 2008, and today he lives in New York where he operates the highly popular Søren Rose Studio. Rose explains ”And here I am, 6 years later, with branches in Copenhagen and New York." To understand how Scandinavian poise can marry with downtown grit a visit to Soren’s New York City Hudson Loft will do. Both offices embrace a noticeable paradox to create original interiors, products and furnishings that are minimally raw and masterfully crafted, yet elegantly refined. The Søren Rose team encompasses an incredible set of skills within architecture, product design and manufacturing. The studio strives to provide clients with any level of service they wish, whether it’s designing a beautiful light fixture or a clients’ future residence. "We run a flat organisation; and, thus, if the junior designer has the best idea that’s what we go with. The studio's make up is on style, sensibility and sustainability in their overall approach for value in long-term design collaborations with like-minded people to propel the studio's mission forward.
