Our contemporary lounge chair designs include the Brasilia Lounge Chair, a luxurious lounge armchair hybrid that offers the ultimate in sitting comfort thanks to its robust frame and soft upholstery. Here, Scandinavian mid-century design aesthetics meet Brazilian Modernism, displayed as stout and sturdy legs made using traditional joinery techniques, and exaggerated armrests and a cushioning seat and backrest.

Mid-century modern lounge chairs

The Knitting Chair by Ib Kofod-Larsen was first launched as a limited edition in 1951. The modern Danish design lounge chair is a natural choice for contemporary interiors. The thoughtful design is playful, named after its elbow cut-outs that allow maximum comfort while knitting (or reading).

The Tired Man Lounge Chair design from 1935 is a Danish design icon. Expertly crafted and supremely comfortable, the characteristically curved armchair is offered in plush upholstery, including sheepskin in a nod to the original. Front brass casters ensure easy movement, while a corresponding ottoman provides additional comfort.

The Ingeborg Lounge Chair from 1940 welcomes the sitter with open arms and an irresistibly charming expression. Today reworked from original archival drawings and available in a range of upholstery fabrics, the mid-century lounge chair is angled for comfort and fits into a space without taking up too much room. This modern armchair pairs beautifully with the corresponding sofa.
