Conceived during the design process for Audo's new creative destination Audo Space located in Copenhagen's thriving Nordhavn (Northern Harbour) area, the Harbour Chair is the result of fulfilling a variety of needs (among others) comfortable versatility. Designed specifically for Audo Space, the dining chair is ideal for anything from restaurants, conferences, offices, or in the comfort of one’s own home.
A hybrid space that mixes office, showroom, café, co-working and event space in One, Audo Space required a chair that could suit a range of purposes. Finding a perfect balance between geometry and organic shapes, the shell’s backrest bends outwards for maximum support, providing not only comfort, but also an elegant and slim appearance that will appeal to any discerning design aficionado.

Black-painted solid oak with an oiled finish has undergone a painting process, resulting in a black surface to alter the natural color of the wood, without masking the natural veining. Matte varnish is then applied to provide a smooth, non-reflective surface, adding a layer of protection against wear and moisture and preserving the color and texture of the black-painted oak.

Dark-stained oak veneer with lacquer is constructed with a core material covered with a thin layer of oak veneer which has undergone a staining process, resulting in a dark surface to alter the natural colour of the wood. Varnish is then applied to enhance and protect the appearance.

Norm Architects
Founded in Copenhagen in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, Norm Architects specialise in residential architecture, commercial interiors, industrial design, photography and art direction. The name, Norm Architects, reflects the group’s emphasis on the importance of drawing inspiration from norms and traditions within architecture and design – particularly the Scandinavian design principles of timeless aesthetics and natural materials, and the modernist values of restraint and refinement.
